Our Libraries
The mission of the AISD Libraries is to provide a 21st Century learning environment in which a love of reading is fostered, the effective and ethical use of information and communications technology is promoted and the intellectual potential of each student is supported.
We operate two library facilities on our campus; one for elementary students and one for middle and high school students. The libraries also manage textbooks to support the AISD curriculum and a professional library for teaching staff. All AISD community members are welcome to use library facilities any time during opening hours.
The AISD Libraries provide our community with an array of resources. International magazines and newspapers are delivered on a regular basis. Books, laptops, subscription databases, printers and scanners, Playaways and eBooks, charging stations, and WiFi are available in our facilities. You will find comfortable seating areas throughout the libraries and two study rooms in the MS/HS library are available for group work.
The AISD libraries' resources are available to currently enrolled families as well as AISD staff.
Through collaboration, the libraries partner with the AISD community to empower students in becoming life-long learners, problem solvers, and responsible citizens.
With over 39,000 volumes and access to 14 academic databases, AISD houses the largest English library in Bangladesh.
COMMUNITY HUB
The libraries at AISD are more than just books; they are community centers for activity, creativity and learning. Stop by our libraries to find students engaged in reading, group projects, studying, using the makerspace and interacting with friends.
The libraries are open throughout the day to all AISD community members.
