Virtual Learning at AISD

Virtual Learning combines technology, personalized instruction, and interactive curriculum with highly qualified teachers to meet the needs of every student during an unplanned school closure.

Events such as inclement weather, natural disasters, political unrest, illness, etc. can result in unplanned school closures. Closures are typically short-term but can be long-term for an exceptional event such as the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Short or long term, schools need to be prepared to deliver effective learning to students during such events. AISD has developed a comprehensive academic continuity plan to support student learning from a distance.
