AISD Safety Preparedness & ResponseLocation & Infrastructure: AISD's campus in Baridhara sits within Dhaka's diplomatic zone - a protected enclave that is widely considered one of the safest locations in the city. Our security posture includes personnel from our diplomatic and metropolitan police partners, over 150 cameras monitoring the campus, a fleet of diplomatically registered vehicles including a dedicated van for health emergencies, and comprehensive emergency procedures that are regularly drilled with staff and students to ensure preparedness. Our protocols have been tested and refined through real-world experience, including natural disasters and periods of civil unrest.

Diplomatic Partnerships AISD maintains communication channels with Regional Security Offices at the US, Australian, Canadian, UK, Indian and other diplomatic missions in Dhaka. These partnerships provide real-time intelligence and inform our crisis response protocols. During periods of uncertainty or heightened alert, we engage in regular coordination with our diplomatic partners to ensure the safety of our community.

Emergency Response Framework In the event of an immediate crisis - including natural disasters, civil unrest, or security incidents - AISD implements a coordinated response prioritizing student safety, parent reunification, and transparent communication.

Our emergency protocols include:

  • Immediate Response: Lockdown or evacuation to designated assembly areas

  • Assessment: Real-time evaluation of the situation in coordination with diplomatic security partners
  • Communication: Swift notification to community with ongoing updates and advice
  • Transportation: Coordinated student transport via school bus fleet when conditions permit, or supervised parent pickup from campus
